The final timetable for the Junior Club Championships on Saturday 27th April has been released and can be downloaded here.

This year’s Junior Club Championships will be held on Saturday 27th April at Handy Cross. The competition is open to all U9s, U11s, U13s and U15s. As last year, we have invited entries from Chiltern Harriers and a couple of local schools.

An information sheet and application form can be downloaded from here. Entries must be returned by Saturday 20th April, please.

As usual, this event cannot run without the help of an army of volunteers. If you are interested in helping out, your time would be greatly appreciated. Please find details here.

We are collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers, please save and  bring any vouchers to the club house and put in the collection box which is just inside the door on the left hand side.  The vouchers will enable us to buy equipment for training.

Record Entries for 9^th WPH Schools Cross Country Races
On Saturday budding Olympians enjoyed Autumnal sun for WPH’s 2012 Schools’ Cross Country races. This was the event’s 9^th year and it attracted a record number of over 650 athletes from over 40 schools. The club was pleased to receive entries from several schools entering the competition for the first time.

2012 WPH Schools’ Cross County Races – Sat 13^th October 2012

On Saturday 13^th October 2012 Wycombe Phoenix Harriers hosts its 9^th annual cross country races for schools in the Wycombe area.  The venue is Hughenden Park very close to High Wycombe town centre.

Races are for junior and senior schools.  The junior school races are for years 5 and 6 pupils, boys and girls.  The senior schools races are for all school years, boys and girls.  Entry is free and schools may enter as many pupils as they wish.  Though typically the first three from each school count in the team event. Please note that due to the high number of entries expected in the junior school races, we are imposing a close date for junior school entries.

Hughenden Park is a superb and popular venue for cross country races and regularly hosts championship events. In January 2010 the Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire County Cross Country Championships were held in the Park and Manor, and in the following month the Buckinghamshire Schools Championships were also held in the Park.  The courses are a mix of parkland, hills and possibly some water!  Viewing by spectators is superb!
