Team Reports

Young Athletes League
The team finshed mid table and look forward to our new intake of young athetes who have already proved themselves in cross country taking to the track and field next season.

Sounthern Athletics League
We joined this new league in 2012 which saw our Men,s and Women’s teams combined for the first time.  Consensus was that this was good.  The team finished 3rd overall in their division of 16 teams, coming 2nd in their 1st 3 matches and winning the final 2.  Female athletes of the match awards were won by Jade Savage and Rachel Osei-Tutu.

Review of the current season

Wycombe Phoenix athletes battled through outrageous mud to claim 10th place in the Chiltern League and assure their place in the top division by more than 1000 points.  Star of the show was Lucy Rogers who ran her usual gusty pace to win out in a 3 way scrap for 2nd place in the Senior Women’s race that went right the death.

Other Star performances included:

Olivia Lowrie and Kirsten Stilwell who were second and third in the under 11 girls race meaning that they finished equal first in the final league placings.
Ollie Cay was 3rd in the under11 boys and Dominic MacDougall claimed 5th to assure himself of the bronze medal for the season.
The under 11 girls team finished 1st overall and under 11 boys 2nd.
Mateusz Sliwinski was 3rd under 20 home for the same league placing and the team were 2nd for the year.
