 Sprint Squad – Nick & Nigel

Tuesday night (All year round):

7.00-8.30 pm at Little Marlow Athletics Track (all year round)

Thursday night:

7.00-8.30 pm at Little Marlow Athletics Track (summer training only) – from mid March to mid October

7.00-8.30 pm at Cressex School Sports Hall (Upstairs) (winter training only) – from mid October to mid March

Saturday morning (winter training schedule):

9.30-11.30 am at Hughenden Park (From mid October until mid March). Meet in small car park on Hughenden Road.

Sunday morning (summer training schedule):

9.00-11.00 am at Little Marlow Athletics Track (from mid March until mid Oct each year).

Note: weekend training may be changed on match days. If uncertain about timings, please check with Nigel or Nick.

7.00-8.30 pm at Kingsmead Recreation Ground, High Wycombe (until 21st March ’19) – Note: this may change to Cressex School at some point.

7.00-8.30 pm at Little Marlow Athletics Track (from 28th March ’19)

Saturday morning (Winter training schedule):

9.30-11.30 am at Hughenden Park (From 1st September 2018 until March 2019).
Meet at the entrance to children’s playground on Coates Lane.

Sunday morning (Summer training schedule):

9.00-11.00 am at Little Marlow Athletics Track (This has now ended and will resume  March 2019 until Sept 2019).

Group Training Sessions

Tuesday 7pm, Little Marlow Track – Event specific training – this will be the key session each week and we will try to run sessions for both middle and long distance as far as possible. Sometimes we’ll do some hills or longer reps on the road. We’ll always meet at the track.

Thursday 7pm, Gossmore, Marlow. This will generally be some longer road reps.

Saturday 9am Higginson Park, Marlow Threshold or hill running (venue may vary so stay in touch)

Sunday 9am Long Run. The venue will change

Foundation Squad – Helen Alexander

Thursday night (U15s) – by Invitation only

7.00-8.30pm  at Little Marlow Athletics Track (U15s – summer training schedule) – This is by invitation only. Please check with Helen.

7.00-8.30pm at at Kingsmead Recreation Ground, High Wycombe (U15s winter training schedule)  – This is by invitation only. Please check with Helen.

Saturday morning – for winter training (excluding competition weekends)

9.30-11.30am at Hughenden Park. Meet at the entrance to the children’s playground on Coates Lane.  All athletes are strongly advised to attend these outdoor sessions, which is designed to be fun and are excellent for developing general fitness and strength. It is coached as a combined session by either Richard Claessnes or David Randall, where you will be training with all other athletes from our other two Foundation squads.

Note:  that weekend training over the winter may not take place on match days.  If uncertain, please check  with Helen at training on Tuesdays or speak to Richard / David on Saturdays.

 


Foundation Squad  DR – David Randall

David’s Foundation squad trains  every Tuesday and most Saturdays.

Tuesday training – at the Track 7.00 – 8.30 pm – All year round

Saturdays (summer training only) – at Wycombe Rye Park 10:30 – 12:00 pm – dates as advised by the coach via email. Please check with David if unsure)

Saturdays (winter training only) – at Hughenden Park 09:30 – 11:30 (most Saturdays except for Competition weekends, where the club will be away competing e.g. at the Chiltern League or National cross country events.

This squad’s winter training begins in September until around mid March each year.

Tuesday’s FUNdamentals Squad – Shaun and Sharon

***  Training re-starts on Tuesday 30th October 2018 at Cressex Community School, 7 pm to 8:15 pm  ***

 – Winter season: training takes place indoors at Cressex Community School in High Wycombe. (Early October to March annually)

Please note that during the Winter season (starting around September/October each year), all athletes aged 9+ are encouraged to attend our Saturday Outdoor training at Hughenden Park (which usually runs from 9:30 am to 11:30 am); athletes will train together with our Foundation Squad athletes. These sessions are fun and targeted at improving overall fitness and we make use of the varied terrain at the park. We would like to see as many of our young athletes from this squad to come to these outdoor sessions over the winter season whenever possible. We meet at the Coates Lane entrance to Hughenden Park, just outside the children’s play area.  Athletes should come to these sessions, prepared for all weather, wearing plenty of layers to keep warm and dry and have a coat with them.

 – Summer season: training sees the squad return to Little Marlow track for their training from 23rd April 2019 (7 pm to 8:30 pm) until October 2019.


Thursday’s FUNdamentals Squad – Jodie and Alex

This squad trains  every Thursdays  at  6 – 7 pm (year round), with an additional weekend session during the Winter Training season. More info. as below:

  •  Summer training season (March 2017 – October 2017) – training will be outdoors at Little Marlow Track.
  •  Winter training season (October 2017 – March 2018) – training will move indoors to an indoor gym (upstairs) at Cressex Community School in High Wycombe. Training sessions continue to run from 6 – 7 pm.

– Additionally, over the winter season, all athletes aged 9+ are encouraged to attend our Saturday outdoor training at Hughenden Park. These fun sessions are targeted at improving overall fitness for athletes of all abilities . Athletes attending these sessions will train together with our Foundation Squad athletes. These sessions make use of the varied terrain at the park. We strongly encourage all our young athletes to come to these sessions over the winter season whenever possible.  Athletes should come prepared for all weather training, wearing plenty of layers to keep warm and dry and have a coat with them.

Saturday winter training – 09:00 to 11:00 am – training at Hughenden Park, meeting at Coates Lane children’s play area.

Weekend training will not take place during cross country match days as coaches will be away at these matches. If in doubt, contact your coach for more details.

Weekly:

Every Tuesday at the Track 7.00 – 8.30 pm – All year round

In the summer season, Thursday’s training is at the Track 7.00 – 8.30 pm

In the winter season, Thursday’s training moves indoors; training will be at Cressex Community  School Gym 7.00 – 8.30 pm (mid October to Mid March each year)

Weekends:

In the summer season, Sunday training is 10.00 – 12.00 noon. Please always check with Jodie or Alex to find out plans for each weekend.

In the winter season, no weekly training over the winter season, returning to training one weekend per month at the track 10.00 – 12.00 noon. Please check with Jodie or Alex to find out plans for these special winter weekends.
