Chiltern League Cross Country
Compete in The Chiltern League
Wycombe Phoenix competes throughout the winter in the Chiltern League. It's a set of 5 cross country matches at various locations within local counties.
Everyone (over 9 years old*) can take part, there's no selection process and Wycombe Phoenix will pay for your entry. Athletes run in their age category from U11 to senior. All results appear on the National Athletics Database (po10) and athletes score us points to move up in the league. You will see lots of WPH coaches and parents at races. (We also put up a gazebo and WPH Flag to find us easily).
The Chiltern League is a team event, you are running not only to set or beat your PB (Personal best), but to gain points for the club. You have trained for it, now run it!
Just ask your coach to register you, no need to sign up.
Athletes over 9 can improve thier XC fitness at Hughenden (usually 9.30 to 11.30) on Saturdays from September to March (excluding competition weeks!), just ask your coach.
* Athlete's need to be 9 years or older by 31st Aug to compete in the first XC race of the season.
