The group is focussed on sprints and horizontal jumps and all training is based around peaking for the summer season. We expect athletes to compete for the club, if selected, in the summer youth development league (u13, u15, u17 and u20) and the southern athletics league (seniors).
We have a range of ages from 13 years old up and tailor training to both chronological and training age as best we can within the training environment. As well as sprint training we spend time developing movement skills to improve running technique and reduce the occurrence of injury.
We also have a number of long and triple jumpers in the group who partake in very similar training but with more specialisation once we are on the track full time in the summer.

About the coaches
Nigel is the lead coach and has been a UKA level 2 qualified coach for 15 years. We are always looking for assistant coaches to enable us to take on more athletes. Anyone interested please get in touch.
