The squad focuses on all sprint distances namely 100m, 200m and 400m. Along with indoor distances for selected athletes. The squad is made up of a number of age groups from Under 15's through to Master athletes.
We focus on technical elements to build the key skills needed to be able to run and jump fast. Core elements include running drills, plyometrics, and core strength. We alternate between pure speed, speed endurance and in the winter months a number of different hill running sessions.
We also focus on teamwork and supporting each other throughout the session. Work hard, have fun and build a strong togetherness.

About the coaches
Leanne is a UKA qualified Athletics Coach across sprints, a UKA Leader in Running Fitness and competes internationally in sprints and relay events. She is A European Masters silver medalist from 2019 representing Ireland and also double masters National Sprint Champion in her age group.
Leanne is also working her way through the UKA Level 3 sprints qualification, and has achieved a certificate in Mental Wellbeing in Sport and Physical Activity.
Leanne is also the athlete representative on the Club Committee.
