Endurance Adults

The Senior Endurance Group aims to provide a supportive and fun training environment for any distance runner racing 800m up to the marathon. Most of the group will compete in club cross country events throughout the winter. Come the spring, some athletes will focus on the track; whilst others might look to longer road events.

About the coaches

The squad is headed up by Kevin Stilwell and supported by Andrew Walling. Kevin has been coaching for over 8 years, with the majority of his time within the Endurance Squads. Andy has gained wealth of experience in club athletics and has coached for over 25 years (since 1994).

Training schedule

Summer Training

Tuesday 7:00-8:30 pm at Little Marlow Athletics Track
Thursday 7:00 pm at Gossmore, Marlow
Saturday 9:00 am at Higginson Park, Marlow
Sunday 9:00 am Venues will change

Winter Training

Tuesday 7:00-8:30 pm at Little Marlow Athletics Track
Thursday 7:00 pm at Gossmore, Marlow
Saturday 9:00 am at Higginson Park, Marlow
Sunday 9:00 am Venues will change

Other training information

Tuesday's session – Event specific training – this will be the key session each week and we will try to run sessions for both middle and long distance as far as possible. Sometimes we’ll do some hills or longer reps on the road. We’ll always meet at the track.
Thursdays session - This will generally be some longer road reps.
Saturdays session - Threshold or hill running (venue may vary so stay in touch)
Sundays session - Long run
