Good Friday XC Race at Chenies Manor

This is an informal and friendly XC race with WPH, Cookham Running Club and Chiltern Harriers AC.  A great introduction to to competing as we start training together again.

Entries are via your coach.

NO SPIKES – TRAIL SHOES OR TRAINERS WILL BE FINE (SPIKES CAN BE WORN BY UNDER 11S).

U11 (approx. 2.3km)
Boys – 8:45am
Girls – 9:00am

U13 (approx. 3.9km)
Boys – 9:25am
Girls – 9:40 am

U15 – (approx. 4.5km)
Boys – 10:05am
Girls – 10:20am

U17 ( approx. 6km)
Boys – 10:45am
Girls – 11:00am

Details from the organisers

We have left times between races particularly at the moment to keep numbers lower.

1. Parking will be on the field which is an entrance off the main Amersham Road. If you are coming from Amersham it’s before Claypit Lane. WD3 6EP.
2. Under 11s can wear short spikes if they choose but everybody else trainers required. The course is largely bobbly fields with a 500m tarmac track for everybody above under 11, so be prepared. It is cross country.
3. There are toilets at the house.
4. There should be a coffee van selling hot food as well so please if you can support it.
5. It’s fine for spectators so please because of the current situation scatter yourselves around the course.
6. Please be aware of others and if you are finished then perhaps continue your day away from the course.
We are outside so unless you feel the need to wear a mask it’s certainly not any requirement. There is no legal requirement. All the children are being tested regularly.
7. There are at least 60 athletes from 2 other clubs in addition to Chiltern Harriers so please be as supportive to all athletes as you always are.
8. There are no prizes however we will rank the athletes in order as they come in with times certainly for the winners.
9. If you feel unwell at any time before, please do not attend just let me know.
10. This is being organised by JC on behalf of Chiltern Harriers but is only a friendly club v club to get the athletes used to racing again. Please treat it accordingly.
