English Schools Athletic Association (ESAA)

The ESAA is a national organisation run by teachers. They organise a number of important national competitions in both track and field and cross country for school age children. Selection for entry to these competitions is either via the school or the county selectors, depending on the event in question. The club has no input to the selections made, but coaches may be informed of selection in order to contact the athletes.

Buckinghamshire Schools Athletics Association (BSAA) is the body responsible for arranging schools’ competition within Bucks and also for teams representing us at Regional and National Level. The BSAA is affiliated to the English Schools Athletics Association, the national governing body association. See link below.

All schools within the five districts of Milton Keynes, Chiltern, South Bucks, Wycombe, Aylesbury and Buckingham affiliate to the association on an annual basis.

  • English Schools Cross Country Champs

    Temple Newsam, Leeds Temple Newsam Road, Selby Road, Leeds, United Kingdom

    This is the annual English Schools Cross Country competition. The teams are selected by the County Schools Athletics Association based on performances in previous races, but primarily the Bucks Schools Cross Country Championship held in February.
