Parents and Friends can earn League Points for the Club
Every Club in each league needs to have a team of people at each match to help run it. This could be sitting in the stand with a stop watch, checking relay changeovers or measuring a long jump.
You’ll be there anyway and asked to help, so why not earn more points and become a qualified official? There are beginners courses on Sunday 23rd February at Thames Valley Athletic Centre in Eton. You just need to go to one of these courses, take an online safety course and then get 4 experiences at matches. It couldn’t be simpler and you could be qualified by the end of the season, earning much needed points for the team.
- Fancy field – the long jump, discus etc then the form is at: Field Course
- Finding out if they’ve beaten Usain Bolt? – Timekeeper
- How about starting the race? – from this page – Starter / Starter’s Assistant
If you’re interested in these opportunities or officiating in general, you are welcome to contact Sally Delgado in her role as the Club Officials Administrator at officialsadmin@wycombephoenix.org
