The Chiltern League is one of the biggest cross country leagues in the country. There are a total of 5 matches per season at various locations around the Chiltern area and it is one of the most important winter competitions in the club’s calendar. It caters for all age groups from U11 up to Seniors and Veterans and we encourage all our younger members to give it a go. U11s who compete must be aged 9+ as at the 31st August preceding the cross country season.
The Chiltern League is very much a team event and as a club, we aim to get as many athletes out competing as possible – this is what we train for. Within each age group there are team medals to be won. Therefore every point scored by athletes complete make a difference.
Note that this league is organised into two divisions. Currently there are 14 clubs in Division 1 and the rest are in Division 2. WPH is currently in Division 1.
Both divisions normally compete at the same venue in the same races but with separate scoring.
