Congratulations to the UAG team who were 2nd in the YDL on Sunday, narrowly beating Hillingdon by 2.5 points. That was a huge improvement on the 5th place in the previous match. Although I (Andrea) wasn’t there I can see from the results that there were some great performances and a range of PBs were achieved.
The boys had a great result in the throws with PBs in discus for Sammy, Toby and Kes. Kes also got a PB in hammer and Toby in Javelin. Michael got a PB in long jump.

On the track there was more success with the following athletes getting PBs
Maisie 100m
Luke 400m
Aaron 800m
Harvey 1500m
Alex 1500SC

The best performances were by Sophie who improved on her 1500m by 12secs and Ellen who knocked a huge 26secs off of her 3000m, well done girls! Apologies if I’ve missed anybody.
Thanks as usual to our officials who also contribute to the points and I’d also like to thank Mike for standing in for me as team manager on the day.
Hopefully we can repeat the success at the next match on 30th June
